Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alfonzo Barton (ranked 24469 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shemp Howard (ranked 5669 p4p, 380 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barton shoots in for a double leg but Howard sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Howard tries to clinch there but Barton circles away.

Horrible takedown attempt by Howard or perhaps it was just good defense by Barton, which made it look bad.

Shemp Howard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Oh Barton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Howard has cracked Barton with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Howard lands another huge swinging hook and Barton tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Barton, before Howard can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Shemp Howard!
