Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between First Test (ranked 25153 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Ortega (ranked 6332 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, First Test!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brandon Ortega!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortega throws a left and a right that both miss
and Test connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ortega's coach down at HWRP Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ortega's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ortega is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ortega throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Ortega wants to clinch.
Test closes the distance and pushes Ortega back into the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Test as Ortega tries to tie him up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Test tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ortega smiles and moves away.
Test takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Test shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Test shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ortega defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for First Test. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ortega fails with the takedown.
Test closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ortega circles away.
Test tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ortega sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Test somewhat.
Test misses with a takedown
and Ortega connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Test looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Test rushes Ortega and presses him up against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Ortega fails to land.
Test is trying to pull guard but Ortega turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ortega wants to get back to striking at distance but Test won't allow it.
Ortega's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Test's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ortega goes for a double leg but Test avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Test continues to drive forward.
Test fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ortega avoids it really well and circles away.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ortega!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ortega scores with a punch to the head.
Test is rocked!
Test shoots for a double leg takedown but Ortega sprawls well. He's pushed Test's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ortega tries to counter by closing the distance.
Oh Test is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Test has closed the distance and engaged Ortega in a clinch.
Test seems to have got his legs back now.
Test manages to break the clinch.
Ortega lands a left and a right that send Test crashing to the mat, dazed. Ortega thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Test takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ortega drops Test with a naaaaasty hook - Test is in real trouble here! Ortega dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Ortega!
