Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lane Larson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, New Knee!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knee stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Knee wants it to stay on the feet.

Knee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Larson is trying to break free.
Larson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Knee is trying to pull guard but Larson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Knee jumps guard and drags Larson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Knee tries to strike from the bottom.
Larson trying to control but Knee is working from the bottom.
Larson tries to free his leg and advance position but Knee is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Knee manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Knee darts in looking for a takedown but Larson gets double underhooks and turns Knee into the cage.

Knee gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Knee prevents the takedown attempt.

Larson is looking to break free of the clinch but Knee has double underhooks.
Larson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Knee walks away with a smile on his face. Larson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lane Larson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Larson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Knee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Knee stalks Larson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Larson's face. Larson staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Lane Larson has been cut.
Knee moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Knee shoots in for a takedown but Larson shows good takedown defense.

Larson closes the distance and clinches up with Knee, looking for a takedown. Larson pushes Knee against the cage but Knee circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Knee is trying to pull guard but Larson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Knee gets control of Larson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Knee will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Larson throws a big right hand that misses.
Larson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Knee is looking to stand up but Larson isn't so interested in that idea.
Larson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Larson lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Knee has his foot on Larson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Larson works his way back into a safe position though.

Knee has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Knee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Knee. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Well Knee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
