Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Kirk (ranked 3978 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antun Sola (ranked 5511 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sola throws a chopping leg kick but Kirk manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Sola throws a head kick that misses.
Sola lands a high kick!
Sola tries a head kick but it misses.
Sola takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Sola throws a sloppy head kick and Kirk moves out of range easily.
Sola takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Sola misses with a wild body shot.
Sola throws a sloppy head kick and Kirk moves out of range easily.
Kirk works Sola's body with a nice hook.
Sola looks winded!
Kirk drops Sola with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sola looks back up at him and smiles so Kirk waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Sola is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sola walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Sola limp body while Kirk jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jim Kirk!
Jim Kirk decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
