Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ramon Gracie (ranked 62 p4p, 9 weight class) and Yamato Take (ranked 106 p4p, 19 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Jiu Jitsu: Vai Finaliza!. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
29 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Ramon Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yamato Take! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Take jabs at Gracie's body. Gracie wants to clinch. Gracie doesn't manage to clinch there - Take circles away.
Take is looking to chop away at Gracie's legs. Take slips under a jab from Gracie. Both fighters circling a little - Take finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Take misses with a straight right. Gracie definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Take gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Take controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie is pushing down on Take's leg trying to pass to half guard. Take is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through. Take wants to control but Gracie is keeping busy.
Gracie landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Take wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.
Gracie with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Take trying to control from the bottom.
Take tries to roll over but Gracie keeps him under control. Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Take is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Gracie perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Take controlling the position for now. Gracie sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Take defending well though. Take is not content to let Gracie control the position. Gracie is looking to advance position but Take won't allow it. Gracie throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gracie trying to mount his opponent but Take defends it. Take is trying to maintain the position but Gracie is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Gracie lands a front kick. Take displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gracie.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Take misses with a looping right. Gracie tries to counter with a takedown but Take is quick to defend against it. Gracie throws a lazy body kick and Take counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Take has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Take throws a shot to the body.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Take checks a leg kick. Gracie avoids a kick to the body.
Gracie turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Gracie tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Take defends well and Gracie ends up having to push Take into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Take misses with a low kick.
Take throws a wild body kick that Gracie sees coming a mile off. Gracie feinted with a counter takedown. Take throws a hook but Gracie avoids it easily. Gracie keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Take swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Gracie throws a leg kick that misses. Gracie scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Take is looking to control Gracie's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Take avoid being mounted? This has been an exciting period of action! Take is trying to get back to full guard. Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Take keeps working. Gracie tries to pass the half guard into mount. Take knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Take wants to get back to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gracie is nestled in close to Take, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Gracie looks to score some points with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ramon Gracie dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Take. Gracie throws a jab but it's blocked by Take. Gracie takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gracie has closed the distance and engaged Take in a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gracie. Gracie lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Take. Gracie lands on the inside with an uppercut. Gracie scores with an uppercut up the middle. Gracie blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Take blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Gracie pulls guard effortlessly. Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Take is proving a slippery customer.
Take trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Take controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Take trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Take is stalling in the full guard. Take stopping the sweep attempt from Gracie. Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Take passes into half guard.
Gracie slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Take trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Gracie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Gracie lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Take manages to get to full guard.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Take is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Take trying to keep a closed guard but Gracie is proving a slippery customer.
Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie prevents Take from improving his position. Ground and pound from Gracie. Take is trying to control but can't.
Gracie is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Take has managed to free his arm - good work. Gracie looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Gracie has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Gracie content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie lands a couple of good shots and Take has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Gracie gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Gracie's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Gracie has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Take tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gracie trying to control but Take is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ramon Gracie dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
A swing and a miss from Take. Gracie blocks the body kick.
Gracie tries to counter with a takedown but Take is quick to defend against it. Gracie fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Take checks it well. Gracie throws a quick inside leg kick. Take lands a jab to the head.
A solid leg kick lands there for Take.
Take works Gracie's body with a nice hook. Take throws a nice inside leg kick. Take takes a swing at Gracie's ribcage but misses. Gracie drives through and clinches with Take against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A short right from Gracie. Take swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A nice right hand lands inside from Take. A shot in the inside from Gracie. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Take throws a punch but it's blocked by Gracie. Take misses with a hook from the clinch. Gracie slows down the pace here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Take creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Take lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Gracie just leaning against Take, taking a breather. Gracie blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Gracie jumps guard but Take turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Gracie lands a shot to the body. Take misses with a punch on the inside.
Gracie jumps guard and drags Take to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Gracie looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Take from controlling successfully. Gracie looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gracie is working hard here to advance position. Take trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ramon Gracie is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy. Take trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Take manages to get himself to full guard.

Gracie wants to control from the top but Take keeps moving. Gracie is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Take can do to turn this around? Take seems keen to control Gracie's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Take keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Gracie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Take is pulling down on Gracie's head. It's preventing any offense from Gracie, at least for the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Take throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Take keeping control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Take wants to control but Gracie is keeping busy.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Take tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg. Yamato Take has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gracie seems to be looking for submissions.
And that's the end of the fight! Ramon Gracie showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gracie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
