Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Fury (ranked 284 p4p, 9 weight class) and Petey Bartlett (ranked 1023 p4p, 43 weight class). Bartlett has chosen KEN mode - Counter Culture Complex as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Fury! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Petey Bartlett! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Fury with that takedown attempt. Fury throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fury's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bartlett connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fury scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Bob Fury has been cut. Fury tries to clinch there but Bartlett circles away.
Fury keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fury closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bartlett to the mat! Bartlett manages to get full guard. Fury stays in close to Bartlett's body and controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fury is looking to work some ground and pound but Bartlett has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bartlett trying to control the position.
Fury's corner is telling him to maintain position. Bartlett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fury. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fury trying to control but Bartlett is working from the bottom. Bartlett uses the ropes to get back to his feet.
Fury on the wrong end of a nice jab. Bartlett is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fury. Petey Bartlett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bartlett throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Bartlett lands a nice shot that snaps Fury's head back.
Fury slips under a jab from Bartlett. Fury shoots in for a double leg but Bartlett sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bartlett throws a hook to the side of Fury's head but Fury sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Fury drives through with a takedown into Bartlett's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fury lands a couple of decent looking shots. Fury is stalling in the full guard. Fury might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bartlett is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fury drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fury jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bartlett is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fury trying to control but Bartlett is working from the bottom. Bartlett working a defensive guard here.
Fury pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bartlett is keeping the position for now. Fury wants to control from the top but Bartlett keeps moving. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Bartlett working a defensive guard but Fury passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fury takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Fury takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Fury fails with a takedown attempt. Fury has been working on his balance at ~T~ Troid - Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Bartlett. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Fury. That's going to take a lot out of him. A jab from Bartlett finds it's way through Fury's defenses.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Fury shoots in looking for a takedown. Bartlett tries to sprawl out of it but Fury keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Bartlett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fury walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Bartlett tries to sprawl but Fury drives through with a takedown into half guard. Fury thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bartlett is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Fury sitting and controlling from the half guard. Fury moves into full mount! Bartlett won't be happy about that!
That's six minutes gone in the round. Fury looking to control but Bartlett is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Fury throws some wild stikes that Bartlett manages to avoid easily.

Fury sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Bartlett is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Bartlett is looking to get to half guard. Fury tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Bartlett is squirming around, avoiding Fury's attempts to control the action. Fury throwing strikes here but Bartlett is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fury looking to control and managing it successfully. Bartlett wants to control but Fury is having none of it. Bartlett is just holding on here. Fury manages to take his back.
Bartlett is trying to get back to his feet but Fury has full control of the position and if anything, Bartlett has just worked his way into a worse spot. I really don't envy Bartlett right now.
Bartlett is keeping busy.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Fury controls the action. Bartlett is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Fury working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Bartlett is doing well to defend. Fury seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Bartlett is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 9:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Bob Fury! Bob Fury retains his super heavyweight title!
