Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lachlan Myers (ranked 4992 p4p, 342 weight class) and David Davis (ranked 3958 p4p, 304 weight class). Myers kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Soldier's Song. Lachlan Myers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers lands a head shot.
Davis lands an overhand right.
Myers is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Davis.
Davis looks to score with a jab to the body but Myers is just out of range.
Myers uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Davis.
Myers tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Myers somewhat.
Nice straight punches there by Davis. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Davis.
Myers tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis scores with a jab. Myers acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Myers pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Davis cracks Myers with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Davis pushes Myers up against the cage in a clinch.

Myers breaks the clinch.

Davis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Myers's head.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Myers.
It seemed like Davis was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Davis scores with a jab to the head.
Nice cross by Davis.
Davis tests Myers's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Davis showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Myers.
Myers misses with a head kick.
Myers tries to move into range but Davis moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Myers looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Myers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Davis circles away quickly and effectively.
Myers moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Myers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Davis works the jab nicely.
Davis connects with a single shot there.

Myers is rocked!

Davis lands a body shot.
Oh Myers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Myers is breathing heavily.
Davis throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Myers gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Davis scores with a counter punch that sends Myers to the canvas! Davis smells blood - he's punishing Myers with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Myers has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
