Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ilya Maci (ranked 5721 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Garcia (ranked 5729 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garcia fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Maci.

and Garcia counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Maci tries for a takedown but Garcia sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Maci or perhaps it was just good defense by Garcia, which made it look bad.
It seemed like Garcia was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Maci looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
