Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diarmuid Ua Duibhne (ranked 5586 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abang Shaharash (ranked 5624 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diarmuid Ua Duibhne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abang Shaharash! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ua Duibhne is looking to clinch but Shaharash is avoiding it.
Shaharash fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ua Duibhne sprawls well initially but Shaharash persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ua Duibhne moves into full guard.
Shaharash wants to pass the guard but Ua Duibhne is keeping the position. Ua Duibhne wants to get back to his feet but Shaharash is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaharash missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ua Duibhne is trying to keep Shaharash in close.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ua Duibhne is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ua Duibhne is working hard here to advance position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Shaharash throws a nice inside leg kick. Shaharash lands a head kick!
Shaharash throws a series of punches but Ua Duibhne moves out of range. Shaharash tries for a takedown but Ua Duibhne sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ua Duibhne throws a quick counter kick to the body but Shaharash avoids it. Ua Duibhne throws a sloppy head kick and Shaharash counters with a series of strikes. Ua Duibhne will be more careful next time no doubt. Ua Duibhne tries to clinch up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Ua Duibhne looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Shaharash wants to counter the offense by Ua Duibhne and move into the clinch position. Ua Duibhne closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ua Duibhne lands in his opponent's guard. Shaharash pulls Ua Duibhne in close to prevent any damage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shaharash is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Shaharash really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ua Duibhne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Shaharash seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Shaharash stalling. Ua Duibhne tries to roll over but Shaharash keeps him under control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ua Duibhne wants to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Abang Shaharash dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

It looked like Ua Duibhne was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Ua Duibhne shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shaharash defends it nicely. The fight stays on the outside here - Ua Duibhne looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaharash gets a clinch. Shaharash gets control of Ua Duibhne's arms and successfully pulls guard. Shaharash will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Shaharash has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ua Duibhne trying to control the position from guard on top but Shaharash is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Shaharash looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Shaharash manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ua Duibhne manages to get himself to full guard.
Shaharash postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Ua Duibhne wants to sweep here but Shaharash controlling him for the moment. Shaharash engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ua Duibhne utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ua Duibhne wants to control but Shaharash passes easily into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Shaharash thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ua Duibhne's head. Shaharash perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Ua Duibhne slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Shaharash is looking to advance position but Ua Duibhne has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shaharash tries to reverse the position but Ua Duibhne maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Abang Shaharash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Ua Duibhne tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shaharash swivels and escapes. As Ua Duibhne backs off Shaharash throws a huge counter combo but Ua Duibhne manages to avoid it all. Shaharash is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ua Duibhne sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ua Duibhne appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Shaharash closes the distance and clinches. Shaharash is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ua Duibhne pulls him back up using the underhooks. Ua Duibhne fails to pull guard.

Shaharash shapes to counter with a head kick. Ua Duibhne with a lazy takedown attempt and Shaharash counters with a lovely straight right hand! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ua Duibhne attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Shaharash closes the distance and clinches. Shaharash manages to break the clinch.

Shaharash has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ua Duibhne is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Shaharash escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ua Duibhne dives in and grabs Shaharash's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shaharash pushes down on Ua Duibhne's head and hops out. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Shaharash shoots in for a takedown but Ua Duibhne shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Shaharash gets in close and instigates a clinch. Shaharash escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ua Duibhne is looking to take a break and control but Shaharash is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Shaharash is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Shaharash holds on to Ua Duibhne's head and controls the position momentarily. Ua Duibhne working the ground and pound. Ua Duibhne decides to stand back up. Nice body kick there by Shaharash. Shaharash tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ua Duibhne sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shaharash somewhat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaharash shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ua Duibhne manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Shaharash is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Ua Duibhne pushes Shaharash off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Shaharash seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Ua Duibhne trying to control the position from guard on top but Shaharash is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Diarmuid Ua Duibhne has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Abang Shaharash is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Shaharash managing to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Abang Shaharash comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Shaharash has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
