Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Junior Mapo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Bertos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Mapo.

Bertos is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Bertos's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mapo tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

That was a close round but I would say that Junior Mapo will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bertos bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mapo's guard.

Mapo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bertos cracks Mapo with a solid left hand.
Bertos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mapo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bertos tries to clinch but Mapo moves out of range.
Mapo scores with a takedown into Bertos's guard.
Mapo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bertos is on top in guard.

Mapo is staying active underneath Bertos, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Bertos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mapo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Mapo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bertos's guard.
Bertos will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Bertos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bertos is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bertos winds up and cracks Mapo with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
