Hodges wants to clinch.
Selnes throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hodges's head.
Hodges fails in his attempt to clinch.
Selnes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hodges sprawls well initially but Selnes persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Selnes is keen to just control but Hodges is a slippery customer.
Hodges tries to kick Selnes off but Selnes keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Hodges had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Selnes is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hodges Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Selnes's back instead.
Hodges struggling to keep hold of the position.

Hodges slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Selnes covers up after that shot from Hodges.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hodges has good solid back control here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hodges is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Selnes has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Hodges is breathing heavily.
Hodges has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Selnes! Can he survive? No! He's out! Hodges gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
