Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Esteban San Pedro (ranked 125 p4p, 15 weight class) and Froyo Hoyo (ranked 715 p4p, 80 weight class). San Pedro comes to the cage accompanied by Gunman. Hoyo has chosen Bad to the bone as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Hoyo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

San Pedro just misses with a punch to the body.
A jab lands there for Hoyo.
Hoyo throws an overhand right that lands on San Pedro's shoulder, as San Pedro tries to avoid the shot.
Hoyo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
San Pedro motions for Hoyo to come forward. San Pedro throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hoyo misses with a looping left.
Hoyo's coach down at mickeyharts the greatest was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hoyo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
San Pedro steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hoyo.
San Pedro swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Hoyo slips a straight right by San Pedro.
San Pedro takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

San Pedro shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Hoyo throws a series of punches but San Pedro avoids them all with ease.

Hoyo misses with an uppercut. San Pedro saw that one coming.
That kick from San Pedro tenderised Hoyo's leg. Hoyo is trying to keep his angry face on.
San Pedro uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hoyo.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hoyo.

San Pedro connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hoyo. Hoyo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!
San Pedro tries to land a front kick but Hoyo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hoyo! But no joy.
San Pedro lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hoyo at a distance.
Hoyo misses with a hook.

San Pedro connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hoyo's hands.
San Pedro lands a nice shot that snaps Hoyo's head back.

Hoyo is rocked!
San Pedro drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Hoyo right on the button. Hoyo goes down! San Pedro follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! San Pedro gets the win via TKO!
