Matrovsky comes to the cage accompanied by Drop it on the one!. Spiteri is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Day to day basis. Carlotos Spiteri acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlotos Spiteri!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spiteri swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Matrovsky.
Matrovsky throws a body punch but Spiteri moves out of range.
Matrovsky misses with a two punch combination.
Spiteri throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A little feinted left hand from Matrovsky on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Spiteri lands with an uppercut that bounces Matrovsky off the cage and back into range.
Matrovsky misses with a lunging right hand
and Spiteri cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Matrovsky throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Spiteri sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Spiteri throws out a counter right but Matrovsky avoids it with no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nice straight punches there by Matrovsky. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Matrovsky.

and Spiteri counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Matrovsky throws a big shot that misses.
Spiteri swings for the body but Matrovsky moves out of range.
Matrovsky throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Spiteri uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Matrovsky.
Matrovsky misses with a wild combination.
Matrovsky defending well as Spiteri loads up on a big left hand.
Matrovsky avoids the body shot from Spiteri.

Matrovsky just misses with a punch to the body.
Matrovsky throws a jab when Spiteri was well out of range.

Spiteri walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Oooooh!!! Spiteri has knocked Matrovsky down with a huge combo! Spiteri steps away and waves a wobbly Matrovsky back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carlotos Spiteri dominated that round.

Spiteri tries to work over Matrovsky's front leg with a kick but Matrovsky checks it.
Matrovsky was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Matrovsky uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Spiteri.
Spiteri bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Matrovsky's head.

Spiteri uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Matrovsky.
Spiteri looks to land a right hand but Matrovsky moved out of range.
Spiteri tries to score with a low kick but Matrovsky moves his leg out of the way.

Spiteri has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Spiteri there as he acknowledges the shot.
Matrovsky throws the left hand but Spiteri avoids the punch easily.

and Spiteri counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Matrovsky ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Spiteri moves away.
A shot to the body from Matrovsky misses
and Spiteri counters with a nice uppercut.
Spiteri misses with a low kick.
Spiteri avoids the body shot from Matrovsky.
Spiteri throws a big shot that misses.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Spiteri. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

It looked like Matrovsky was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Spiteri.

Matrovsky throws a body shot but no joy.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Matrovsky might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Matrovsky jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Spiteri slips under a jab.
It seemed like Spiteri was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Matrovsky throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Spiteri cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Spiteri throws an overhand right that lands on Matrovsky's shoulder, as Matrovsky tries to avoid the shot.

Spiteri cracks Matrovsky with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Spiteri has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Matrovsky to stand back up!
Oh Matrovsky is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Matrovsky throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A little jabbing left from Spiteri on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Matrovsky seems to have got his legs back now.
Matrovsky swings widly with a right hand

and Spiteri counters with a crisp right hand that drops Matrovsky! Spiteri lets Matrovsky back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Are you kidding me?! Spiteri ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Matrovsky clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
