Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Lloyd (ranked 1909 p4p, 283 weight class) and Costa Ioannou (ranked 1418 p4p, 223 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ioannou defending well as Lloyd loads up on a big left hand.
Lloyd stuffs the takedown attempt from Ioannou. Ioannou gets slowly back to his feet.
Frank Lloyd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lloyd misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lloyd cracks Ioannou with a good jab.
Ioannou shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ioannou showed some decent athleticism there.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Lloyd will probably get the nod.

Lloyd throws a looping overhand right but Ioannou ducks down to avoid it.

Lloyd connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ioannou's hands.
Lloyd pounces like a tiger and cracks Ioannou with a vicious hook! Ioannou is down but not out! Lloyd follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
