The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker doesn't manage to clinch there - Shashi circles away.
Shashi is looking for a counter combo.
Shashi looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Baker is defending against the submission attempts here by Shashi.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Baker is in trouble now - Shashi has advanced to mount!
Shashi unloads with some shots from mount but Baker bucks and avoids them well.
Shashi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baker tries to improve his position but Shashi has taken his back! Shashi has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Baker tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Shashi pushes Baker away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
