The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weaton lands with a cross.
Villarreal throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Weaton was covering up waiting for the punch and Villarreal finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Villarreal keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Weaton's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Villarreal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Villarreal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

and Villarreal counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Villarreal is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Weaton sees it coming and defends easily.

Villarreal will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee warns Weaton that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Villarreal is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Weaton has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Villarreal really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Villarreal is looking for the choke from the back position but Weaton is controlling his hands well.
Villarreal lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Villarreal.
Villarreal has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Weaton! Can he survive? No! He's out! Villarreal gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
