0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bored Cheat! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cheat shoots in for a double leg but Bell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Cheat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cheat gets a takedown into half guard. Bell kicks off Cheat and gets to his feet. Cheat shoots in but no luck this time. Cheat defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bell. Cheat is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Cheat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cheat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bell. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bell misses with a kick to the body.
No luck for Cheat with that takedown attempt. Paul Bell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bored Cheat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cheat closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bell circles away. Bell attempts a counter takedown but Cheat avoids it well and moves away. Cheat misses with a takedown attempt - Bell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Cheat shoots for a double leg takedown but Bell sprawls well. He's pushed Cheat's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bell wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Cheat shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Cheat shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bell sprawls well. Bell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cheat gets slowly back to his feet. Cheat doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bell counters with a lovely straight right hand! Bell shoots in but no luck this time. Cheat tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bell goes for a double leg but Cheat avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cheat continues to drive forward. Cheat has managed to clinch.

Bell shoots in for a takedown but Cheat shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Cheat fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bell avoids it really well and circles away. Cheat throws a head kick that misses. Cheat tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bell shoots in looking for a takedown but Cheat manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bell's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Bell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bell wants it to stay on the feet. Bell shoots in for a takedown but Cheat shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Bell. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bell shoots in for a double leg but Cheat sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bell has Cheat up against the cage in a clinch.

Bell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cheat walks away with a smile on his face. Bell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Cheat has managed to clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cheat takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Cheat lands a big knee! That's hurt Bell! Oh, he's all over the place! Cheat lands another knee that sends Bell to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
