6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Swagga Beats! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Winston Howard and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lanaster takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Beats lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lanaster at a distance.

Lanaster feinted with a counter takedown. Beats throws a combination that misses and Lanaster counters with a single leg into guard. Beats didn't expect that. Beats is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Beats is pulling down on Lanaster's head. It's preventing any offense from Lanaster, at least for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beats is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Beats wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lanaster wants to control from the top but Beats keeps moving. My spies in Midnight MMA inform me that Beats has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Lanaster remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Beats will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Beats is trying to stick to Lanaster's back but Lanaster is turning into Beats. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Beats's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lanaster. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lanaster drops back, looking for a kneebar! And that's the end of the fight! Swagga Beats comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Beats has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
