Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Tyrrell (ranked 5071 p4p, 474 weight class) and Santiago Costa (ranked 4664 p4p, 455 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Tyrrell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Santiago Costa! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Costa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tyrrell lands a nice looking body shot.
Tyrrell misses with a straight right. Costa dives in for a single leg takedown but Tyrrell sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Costa throws a sloppy head kick and Costa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Costa shoots for a takedown but Tyrrell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bob Tyrrell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santiago Costa. Costa throws a head kick that misses letting Tyrrell counter with a right hand. Costa tries for a takedown but Tyrrell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Costa misses with a head kick.
A counter left hand to the body from Tyrrell misses its target. Costa scores with a punch to the head. Costa misses with a wild body shot. Tyrrell throwing a counter right hand but Costa manages to avoid it. Costa scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tyrrell is looking to control Costa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tyrrell avoid being mounted? Tyrrell is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Costa seems to be working for a kimura but Tyrrell defends the submission attempt. Costa trying to control the action but Tyrrell is working from the bottom. Tyrrell trying to hold on to Costa's head to control him but Costa postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Costa is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tyrrell defends it well. My spies in Crapollas Gym inform me that Costa has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Costa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tyrrell is just riding it out for now. Costa eventually gives up the hold.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Costa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tyrrell doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Costa. Costa seems to be working for a kimura but Tyrrell defends the submission attempt. Costa is working for a kimura but Tyrrell is defending it quite comfortably.
Tyrrell is looking for a sweep. Costa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Costa is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tyrrell sees it coming and defends easily. Costa is looking for a kimura but Tyrrell is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Costa to get the leverage. Costa is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Costa is looking to take a break and control but Tyrrell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Costa is trying for a kimura here. Tyrrell looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Costa wins by kimura!
