Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sonny Carroll (ranked 24890 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Gallagher (ranked 4573 p4p, 0 weight class). Gallagher has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gallagher throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Carroll's head.

It looks like Sonny Carroll has been cut.
Gallagher looks winded!
Carroll fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gallagher misses with a jab, cross combination.

Carroll moves into the clinch.
Gallagher blocks an elbow strike.
Carroll landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Carroll manages to break the clinch.

Carroll clinches with his opponent.
Carroll is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gallagher is defending well.
Carroll trying to control the position but instead, Gallagher has worked for underhooks and has pushed Carroll into the cage.
Gallagher looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Carroll wants to get back to striking at distance but Gallagher won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carroll is trying to push Gallagher away but Gallagher has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Gallagher jumps guard.
Carroll is looking to stand up but Gallagher won't let him.
Carroll wants to pass the guard but Gallagher is keeping the position.
Carroll really is a fat lump.

Carroll stands up and waves to Gallagher to follow him.

Carroll pushes Gallagher up against the cage in a clinch.
Carroll wants to take the fight to the mat but Gallagher manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Carroll is looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sonny Carroll. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carroll is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Carroll decides to pull guard.

Carroll had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gallagher defends it easily.

Gallagher has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Carroll to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Gallagher is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Carroll pulls down on the head and he's put Gallagher to sleep! This one is all over!
