Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Hiyoshi, looking for a takedown. Da Silva pushes Hiyoshi against the cage but Hiyoshi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Valdir Da Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hiyoshi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Da Silva manages to avoid it.

and Hiyoshi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hiyoshi tries to bum rush Da Silva with a series of wild strikes but Da Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hiyoshi throws a hook but Da Silva avoids it easily.
Hiyoshi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hiyoshi swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Da Silva.

The fighters circling - Hiyoshi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hiyoshi lands a big uppercut and Da Silva crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Da Silva looks OK. Hiyoshi waves Da Silva back to his feet!
Da Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Hiyoshi finish him?
That has opened up Valdir Da Silva's cut even more.
Da Silva circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Hiyoshi. Da Silva falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Hiyoshi!
