Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Bizzle (ranked 5024 p4p, 338 weight class) and James Howlett (ranked 8433 p4p, 410 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bubba Bizzle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Howlett! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bizzle shoots in and bounces Howlett off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Howlett wants to stand and escape but Bizzle is having none of it. Bizzle looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Howlett has a closed guard, preventing Bizzle from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Howlett wants to stand up but Bizzle is controlling him. Bizzle's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bizzle's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Bizzle passes Howlett's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Bizzle with the ground and pound but Howlett uses the opportunity to regain guard. Bizzle looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Bizzle advances to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bizzle seems to be looking for submissions.
Howlett is trying to stand up here but Bizzle is controlling him well. Howlett kicks Bizzle off and gets back to his feet. Howlett looks to throw the jab but Bizzle is out of range. Howlett throws a right and a left that Bizzle avoids nicely. Bizzle thinks about countering with a head kick. Bizzle leaves Howlett with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Howlett looks to score with a jab to the body but Bizzle is just out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bizzle clinches with his opponent.
Howlett escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Howlett misses with a two punch combination.
Bizzle leaves Howlett with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bizzle throws a low kick but Howlett avoids it. Bizzle avoids a punch combination nicely.
Howlett tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bizzle was well out of range. Poor timing from Howlett. Bizzle rushes Howlett and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Howlett has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bizzle after a bit of a struggle. Bubba Bizzle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Howlett. Howlett wants a takedown but no success here.
A short body shot lands from Bizzle as the two fighters clinch.
Howlett looks winded! Bizzle manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Bizzle has control of Howlett's left arm, preventing Howlett from doing any damage. Howlett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bizzle swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Howlett accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Howlett drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bizzle dives on top into guard. Bizzle's corner is telling him to maintain position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bizzle sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Howlett's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bubba Bizzle dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bizzle has Howlett up against the cage in a clinch.
Bizzle is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Howlett can do to turn this around? Bizzle manages to break the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Howlett. Bizzle does a little dance to reset his feet. Bizzle looking to score a takedown here. Howlett is defending well but Bizzle drives through and ends up in Howlett's guard. Bizzle drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Howlett dives on top into guard.
Howlett must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bizzle is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Howlett defends well. Howlett throws an elbow that misses. Bizzle uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Howlett's guard. Nice move by Bizzle! Bizzle postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bizzle not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Bizzle throwing strikes from guard but Howlett blocks nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bizzle advances to half guard. Bizzle content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Howlett has one foot on Bizzle's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Howlett throws a right and a left that Bizzle avoids nicely. Howlett is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bizzle. Howlett throws a series of strikes that have Bizzle backpedaling.
It looks like Bubba Bizzle has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Howlett misses. Bizzle wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Howlett tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bizzle was well out of range. Poor timing from Howlett. We've been told by Bizzle's head coaches at DRAGON MMA - 12 Elite & 2 Double Elite Coaches that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. James Howlett is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Howlett throws a right and a left that Bizzle avoids nicely. Howlett fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bizzle manages to avoid it. Bizzle darts in and clinches Howlett up against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Howlett is trying to drag Bizzle to the mat but Bizzle just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Howlett is breathing heavily. Bizzle pulls Howlett into guard.
Bizzle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Howlett's guard. Bizzle is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bizzle seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Howlett for as long as he can get away with. Howlett wants to stand and escape but Bizzle is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bizzle sitting in guard, not really doing much. Bizzle advances position into side control! Bizzle misses with the ground and pound. Howlett is looking to get back to his feet here but Bizzle is keeping cool and he's managed to take Howlett's back. Bizzle has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Howlett's body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bizzle has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Howlett! Can he survive? No! He's out! Bizzle gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
