Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rich Silva Jr (ranked 594 p4p, 62 weight class) and Frank Granger (ranked 1354 p4p, 137 weight class). Silva Jr comes into the arena with Sleeping Giant blaring out of the sound system. Granger has chosen Primal Concrete Sledge as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Rich Silva Jr has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rich Silva Jr seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Granger finds it's target.
Granger scores with a decent looking hook.
Some bone on bone action there as Silva Jr checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Frank Granger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva Jr looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Granger misses with a right hand
and Silva Jr cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Silva Jr moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Granger misses with a left hand
letting Silva Jr counter with a right hand.
Granger connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Granger throws a poor cross that misses
and Silva Jr counters with a nice uppercut.
Silva Jr throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Oooooh!!! Granger has knocked Silva Jr down with a huge combo! Granger steps away and waves a wobbly Silva Jr back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Granger connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Silva Jr to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Granger!

Frank Granger is the new heavyweight champion!
Frank Granger decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
The defeated Rich Silva Jr had this to say: 'Me hungry!'.
