Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nicholas Hatfield (ranked 24937 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aqua Mazuma (ranked 5601 p4p, 619 weight class). Nicholas Hatfield has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nicholas Hatfield! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aqua Mazuma! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mazuma throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hatfield was covering up waiting for the punch and Mazuma finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hatfield wants to get back to his feet but Mazuma is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Mazuma is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Mazuma controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hatfield keeping full guard, as Mazuma tries to pass. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hatfield working for submissions but it's allowed Mazuma to get to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatfield trying to control but Mazuma postures up.
Hatfield is looking to improve his position.
Hatfield is trying to maintain the position but Mazuma is very close to passing his half guard. Mazuma seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hatfield has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mazuma is working away from the top position though. Hatfield is looking for a sweep. Mazuma is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hatfield manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Mazuma keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Mazuma has Hatfield pushed against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mazuma is trying to push Hatfield away but Hatfield has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Mazuma manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Mazuma looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hatfield is one step ahead there. Hatfield postures up in Mazuma's guard and throws a big left but Mazuma blocks it. Hatfield missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hatfield working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mazuma's head. Mazuma tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hatfield is looking to work some ground and pound but Mazuma has wrist control. Mazuma has his foot on Hatfield's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hatfield works his way back into a safe position though. Hatfield will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mazuma escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hatfield gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hatfield drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mazuma looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mazuma looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mazuma! Hatfield manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Hatfield is keen to just control but Mazuma is a slippery customer. Hatfield missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Mazuma manages to get to full guard.
Hatfield has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mazuma looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Mazuma looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hatfield is one step ahead there. Hatfield throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hatfield working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mazuma's head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mazuma controls Hatfield momentarily but Hatfield frees himself. Hatfield throwing strikes but missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Aqua Mazuma will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Mazuma. Hatfield gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Mazuma content just to control the position here. Hatfield really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mazuma looking to control and managing it successfully. Hatfield wants to control but Mazuma is having none of it. Hatfield working to try and regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mazuma thowing shots but they're missing. Mazuma throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Aqua Mazuma has got the better of the ground game so far. Hatfield slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Hatfield is trying to control but Mazuma manages to pass to mount!
Mazuma sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Mazuma manages to capitalize on a mistake by Hatfield to take his back! Mazuma looking for the choke but no joy. I really don't envy Hatfield right now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hatfield trying to control the hands but Mazuma breaks the grip. Hatfield is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mazuma is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. I would not like to be Hatfield right now.
Hatfield is really stuck here.
Mazuma is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mazuma bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hatfield's guard. Mazuma engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Hatfield trying to keep a closed guard but Mazuma is proving a slippery customer.
Hatfield escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mazuma gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mazuma accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hatfield tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mazuma controlling from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aqua Mazuma showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Mazuma closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mazuma lands in his opponent's guard. Hatfield really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hatfield keeping moving, preventing Mazuma from controlling successfully. Mazuma wants to pass the guard but Hatfield is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mazuma stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hatfield swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mazuma sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatfield is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hatfield is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mazuma defends well. Hatfield not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Mazuma not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mazuma closes the distance and clinches. Mazuma has clasped his hands together around Hatfield's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Hatfield explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hatfield shoots in looking for a takedown. Mazuma tries to sprawl out of it but Hatfield keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mazuma manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mazuma throws a sloppy head kick and Hatfield moves out of range easily. Hatfield shoots for a takedown but Mazuma saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mazuma feints the counter takedown. This has been an exciting period of action! Mazuma moves into the clinch. Mazuma wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hatfield has him pressed against the cage. Mazuma drags the fight down to the ground.
Mazuma is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mazuma bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hatfield's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mazuma gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mazuma manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hatfield on his heels. He'll look to pass Hatfield's guard now, I'm sure. Hatfield looking for a guillotine here but Mazuma defends easily.
Mazuma is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mazuma passes Hatfield's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Nicholas Hatfield has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Aqua Mazuma is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Mazuma stands up from half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Aqua Mazuma comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mazuma has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
