Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Earnest Hicks (ranked 23374 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack O Brian (ranked 5871 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Brian fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hicks, pushing him back against the cage.
Hicks has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but O Brian regains guard immediately.
O Brian has his feet on Hicks's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Hicks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jack O Brian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hicks feints and then cracks O Brian's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow O Brian down.
Hicks misses with a jab, cross combination.
A head kick by O Brian - that's a beauty! Hicks is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even O Brian can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jack O Brian!
