Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lane Craig!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Craig digs a good body shot into Diaz's ribs.
Craig lands with an uppercut that bounces Diaz off the cage and back into range.
Craig throws an off balance right hand

and Diaz counters with a takedown into side control.
Diaz scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Craig to see if he's OK.
Diaz controls the position from side control.
Diaz tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Craig parries the strikes from Diaz easily there. Diaz is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Craig to escape.
Diaz looks up at the clock and then as Craig takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Diaz smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Diaz misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Craig on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Diaz lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Craig down.
Craig looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Diaz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Diaz dives in and grabs Craig's left leg, looking for a takedown. Craig pushes down on Diaz's head and hops out.

Diaz lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Diaz misses with a head shot. Craig uses the momentum to regain guard.

Diaz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Diaz lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Nate Diaz seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
