Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Deacon Frost (ranked 2204 p4p, 75 weight class) and Chris Deal (ranked 18550 p4p, 287 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Deal!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost throws a head kick but Deal moves out of range.
Deal throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Deal lands a right hook to the body.

Frost has Deal up against the ropes in a clinch.
Frost throws a knee to the head but misses.
Frost doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Deal told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Deal is trying to force a seperation but Frost has the dominant position.
Frost keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Deal's efforts to push away.
Deal wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Frost has him pressed against the ropes.
Frost lands with a short shot to the head.


It looks like Chris Deal has been cut.
Deal is looking to break free of the clinch but Frost has double underhooks.

I was talking to Frost's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Deal's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Frost throws out a loose jab but Deal uses good head movement to avoid it.
Frost throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Deal pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Deal swings for the body but Frost moves out of range.

Frost tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Deal manages to circle out of the way.

Frost throws a shot from downtown. Deal moves away and avoids it.

Deal scores with a kick to the midsection.
Chris Deal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frost drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Deal throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Deal tries to clinch but Frost is having none of it.

Frost forces Deal back against the ropes and clinches.
Deal has had enough of the clinch but Frost keeps him there for the moment.

That has opened up Chris Deal's cut even more.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Deal walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Frost rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Deal has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.


Deal is rocked!
Deal is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A chopping leg kick lands by Frost.
Deal throws a low kick, looking for Frost's leg but Frost calmly moves out of range.
Frost avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Deal throws a poor cross that misses
and Frost counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Deal is still on wobbly legs! Can Frost finish him?
Frost is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Frost misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Deal looks to land a left hand but Frost moved out of range nicely.
Deal seems to have recovered his senses.
Deal lands with a good body shot.
Deal shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.


The cut above Chris Deal's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Frost walks into a stiff left hand from Deal.
Deal throws a head kick that Frost semi-blocks.

Frost gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Deal tries to circle away but Frost has him pinned against the ropes.
Frost lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Deal.
Frost pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
Frost gets through Deal's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Frost cracks Deal with a nice body shot.
A short body shot lands from Frost as the two fighters clinch.
Deal looks winded!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Frost lands a hook to the side of the head.
Deal takes a shot to the head.
Frost lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Deal is trying to break the clinch but Frost has him pressed against the ropes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Deacon Frost should take that round, based on the knockdown.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Deal looks to land a combination. Frost sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Frost keeps control of Deal as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Frost lands an elbow that stopped Deal in his tracks for a moment.


Chris Deal's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Deal blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Frost lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Frost has Deal pressed against the ropes, preventing Deal from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Frost prevents a body shot from Deal.
Frost throws a head punch that misses.

Deal breaks from the clinch.
Frost digs a good hook to Deal's body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Frost drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Deal onto his butt! Deal pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Chris Deal's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Deacon Frost!
Our winner, Deacon Frost, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
