Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Doyle Lyons (ranked 24723 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Yamada (ranked 7454 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Doyle Lyons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeshi Yamada! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lyons keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Yamada shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lyons is trying to defend but Yamada finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Lyons looks like he's trying to stand up.
Lyons is trying to escape back to his feet but Yamada uses the scramble to pass into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yamada decides to stand back up. Yamada steps back and let's Lyons get back to his feet. Lyons forces Yamada back against the cage and clinches. Yamada fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lyons is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yamada is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lyons to the mat. Lyons regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Lyons is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Yamada dives into side control.
Lyons prevents Yamada from improving position. Yamada cracks Lyons with a big elbow. Yamada has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Lyons really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Yamada rushes Lyons and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Yamada pulls guard. Lyons trying to control but Yamada is working from the bottom. Lyons throws a big right hand that misses. Yamada seems keen to control Lyons's posture. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lyons accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lyons controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Lyons trying to control the position from guard on top but Yamada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lyons trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Yamada utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Yamada pulls Lyons in close to prevent any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lyons accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Yamada is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Yamada shoots in looking for a takedown. Lyons tries to sprawl out of it but Yamada keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lyons manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lyons is looking to counter the offense by Yamada and move into the clinch. Doyle Lyons has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takeshi Yamada.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamada with a poor takedown and Lyons counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Yamada closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lyons to the mat! Lyons manages to get full guard. Yamada looks winded! Yamada controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Yamada postures up and lands a big shot to Lyons's brow. Yamada landing some decent shots from guard. Lyons looking for a guillotine here but Yamada defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yamada pushes down on Lyons's leg and manages to get into half guard. Lyons manages to escape and get back to his feet! Lyons stuffs the takedown. Yamada rushes Lyons and presses him up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yamada wants to get back to striking at distance but Lyons won't allow it.
Lyons has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Lyons lands a knee to the head.
Yamada lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Yamada wants to control but Lyons is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Takeshi Yamada will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Yamada is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lyons clinches up against the cage.

Yamada shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lyons but Lyons pushes him off and we're back to square one. Yamada shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Doyle Lyons is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Yamada decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lyons missing with punches from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lyons is looking for a sweep. Yamada is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Yamada trying to control from half guard but Lyons is working away. Lyons on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Yamada stops Lyons from getting back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Yamada is looking for a takedown. Lyons fails to pull guard.
Lyons swings wildly with an uppercut but Yamada uses good head movement to avoid it. Lyons has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Lyons working hard to break the clinch. Lyons fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lyons scores with a shot to the side of Yamada's head. Yamada gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lyons is trying to escape back to his feet but Yamada uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lyons is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Yamada asserts his dominance and retains side control. Yamada controls the position from side control. Yamada prevents Lyons from escaping the position. Yamada cracks Lyons with a big elbow. Lyons tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Yamada wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lyons on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Yamada works to advance to full mount. Lyons defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yamada lands a heavy elbow. You get the feeling that Lyons really doesn't like being in this position too much.

A close second round but Takeshi Yamada will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Yamada fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Yamada gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lyons counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Lyons forces Yamada back against the cage and clinches. Yamada drags the fight down to the ground.

Lyons will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lyons looking to sit in guard and control but Yamada gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Yamada is standing up over Lyons. Lyons looks to escape but Yamada dives into side control.
Lyons tries to buck Yamada off but Yamada is having none of it. Lyons is trying to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Yamada lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Check out the look on Yamada's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Lyons tries to get back to half guard but can't. Yamada is working Lyons over with some ground and pound from side control.
Lyons is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamada cracks Lyons with a big elbow. Oh Lyons is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Lyons takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Yamada has hold of Lyons's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Lyons seems comfortable defending it but Yamada has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Lyons is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Lyons is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Yamada couldn't care less - he's delighted!
