Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dick Marcinko (ranked 6869 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Folino (ranked 22727 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Marcinko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rogue Warrior. Jonathan Folino has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dick Marcinko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jonathan Folino! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marcinko lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Folino tries to score a power double leg takedown but Marcinko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Folino somewhat. A nice combination there by Marcinko.
Marcinko slaps away a takedown attempt from Folino, before circling back to the center of the mat. Marcinko manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Folino on his heels. He'll look to pass Folino's guard now, I'm sure. Folino wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Marcinko manages to pass to side control.
This has been an exciting period of action! Folino wants to control but Marcinko is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marcinko is taking a breather. Folino says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Folino is looking to escape. Folino is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Marcinko is controlling the pace.
Folino is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Marcinko with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Marcinko working over Folino with some ground and pound. Folino looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Folino is trying to maintain the position but Marcinko is very close to passing his half guard. Marcinko sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marcinko thows a huge punch but Folino dodges it nicely.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Marcinko seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Marcinko shoots in and bounces Folino off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Folino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marcinko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Marcinko looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Folino is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Marcinko seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marcinko passes easily into side control. Nice work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Folino is looking to regain half guard here but Marcinko keeps moving and retains side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dick Marcinko dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Marcinko keeps the fight on the outside. Folino steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Marcinko. Marcinko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Marcinko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! You can see the frustration on Folino's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Marcinko decides to stand back up. Marcinko steps back and let's Folino get back to his feet. Folino tries to clinch there but Marcinko circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Folino tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Folino fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Marcinko drops down looking for a counter takedown but Folino sprawls and moves away. Folino closes the distance and clinches up with Marcinko, looking for a takedown. Folino pushes Marcinko against the cage but Marcinko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Folino dives in and grabs Marcinko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Marcinko pushes down on Folino's head and hops out. Dick Marcinko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonathan Folino. Folino has a takedown stuffed. Dick Marcinko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Folino with a poor takedown enabling Marcinko to counter with a crisp jab. Marcinko takes one on the button. Folino gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Marcinko preventing the sweep. Folino looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marcinko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Marcinko decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marcinko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Folino was well out of range. Poor timing from Marcinko. Folino tries to clinch up but Marcinko circles away and keeps his distance. Marcinko swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Marcinko gets the takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Marcinko gets to mount! Folino was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Marcinko sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Marcinko avoids the attempt from Folino to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Folino keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Folino tries to get back to half guard but can't. Folino takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Marcinko takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Folino in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Folino is looking to get to half guard. Marcinko controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dick Marcinko dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Folino. Marcinko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Marcinko gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Marcinko shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Folino manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Folino keeping full guard, as Marcinko tries to pass. Folino bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Marcinko's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Marcinko pulls Folino in to control the position. Folino wants to control from the top but Marcinko keeps moving. Marcinko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Folino defends it easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Folino got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marcinko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Folino has managed to get both his arms back between Marcinko's legs - danger averted. Folino must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Folino drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Marcinko manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Folino has Marcinko in his guard. Marcinko is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Folino is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Marcinko gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Marcinko throws a sloppy head kick and Folino moves out of range easily. Folino lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Marcinko shoots in looking for a takedown. Folino tries to sprawl out of it but Marcinko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Folino manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Folino tries to counter by closing the distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marcinko keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Marcinko is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Dick Marcinko is winning the standup battle so far. Folino shoots for a takedown but Marcinko saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dick Marcinko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonathan Folino. Good leg kick by Marcinko there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Folino tries to clinch up. Marcinko gets a double leg takedown into Folino's guard. Folino looking to control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Folino wants to control but Marcinko passes easily into half guard.
Marcinko is taking a breather. Folino says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that's the end of the fight! Dick Marcinko showed his dominance in that final round. Well Marcinko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
