Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Riley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, a tope! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riley looks for a takedown but tope sprawls well. Riley shoots in for a takedown but tope shows good takedown defense. Riley takes a body punch but keeps moving. Riley avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Riley gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Paul Riley has been cut. Riley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from tope. Riley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from tope. Riley looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for tope! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. tope is desperately trying to improve his position but Riley has a good base and remains in mount. tope slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. tope is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Riley is tapping! Great win for tope!
