Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tekle Asrat (ranked 4363 p4p, 327 weight class) and Jock Strap (ranked 2744 p4p, 244 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tekle Asrat! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jock Strap! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strap throws a body shot but no joy. Asrat feinted with a counter takedown. Asrat misses the body punch and Strap counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Asrat drops his hands momentarily and Strap takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Tekle Asrat has been cut. Asrat shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Strap napping and manages to drive through into side control! Strap parries the strikes from Asrat easily there. Asrat is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Strap to escape.
Asrat tries to move to mount but Strap blocks the move with his legs. Asrat taking a breather here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Asrat misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Strap being controlled for a moment. Asrat scoring with punches and elbows. Asrat scoring with punches and elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Asrat misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Asrat misses with the ground and pound. Asrat throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Strap works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Strap really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Asrat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Asrat throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Asrat throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Asrat not doing much here.
Asrat not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Asrat looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Strap with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Asrat has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Asrat lands with a punch from half guard. Asrat is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Strap! Strap wants to control but Asrat is having none of it. Asrat lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Strap hang on?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Asrat connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Asrat controlling from mount. Asrat throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Strap because Asrat loaded up on that one. Asrat misses with some ground and pound and Strap recovers position to half guard. Still in half guard, Asrat seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strap taking some punishment here, with Asrat in his half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Asrat is nestled in close to Strap, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Strap trying to control from the bottom.
Asrat missing with the ground and pound from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tekle Asrat dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tekle Asrat's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Strap takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Asrat takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Strap with a hook. Asrat looks to score with a jab to the body but Strap is just out of range. Asrat scores with a hook to the body. Strap takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Asrat lands a glancing blow to the side of Strap's head. Asrat lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Strap at a distance.
Asrat misses with a right hand and Strap counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Asrat thinking. Strap missing with a left hand there. Asrat was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Strap's coach down at Men Only. No Liberals ! was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Strap's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Asrat dives in and grabs Strap's left leg, looking for a takedown. Strap pushes down on Asrat's head and hops out. A looping hook to the body misses from Asrat. Strap does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circling - Asrat throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Strap bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Asrat misses with a takedown attempt and Strap cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Strap looks to land a right hand but Asrat moved out of range. It looked like Asrat was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Strap. Asrat is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Strap can do to turn this around? Asrat throws a sloppy body shot
and Strap counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Asrat is rocked! A shot to the body from Asrat misses and Strap counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Asrat out cold! What a finish! Strap is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
