Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dean Corll (ranked 1442 p4p, 175 weight class) and Marek Koltun (ranked 1659 p4p, 198 weight class). Corll's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Candyman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Dean Corll! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
36 - 25 - 4, fighting out of Helsinki, Marek Koltun! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koltun manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Corll on his heels. He'll look to pass Corll's guard now, I'm sure. Koltun postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Corll keeping moving, preventing Koltun from controlling successfully. Koltun has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Corll is looking for a triangle but Koltun pushes his legs off easily.
Koltun trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Koltun working some strikes from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koltun missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Koltun wants to pass the guard but Corll is keeping the position. Corll keeping moving, preventing Koltun from controlling successfully. Corll working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Koltun doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Koltun manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koltun keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Corll's head. Corll is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Koltun defends well. Koltun postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Koltun stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Corll swivels though and keeps the full guard. Corll escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Koltun gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Corll has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Koltun can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Koltun avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koltun got a little sloppy there for a moment and Corll has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Koltun has managed to get both his arms back between Corll's legs - danger averted. Koltun postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Corll is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Koltun, into his guard.
Corll gets to his feet - Koltun follows without any prompting. Corll throws a shot to the body.

and Koltun counters with a straight right hand. Corll scores with the left hand. Koltun knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Marek Koltun has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koltun darts in looking for a takedown but Corll gets double underhooks and turns Koltun into the cage. Corll jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Koltun on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Koltun gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Corll connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Corll misses with a straight left. Koltun looking to score a takedown here. Corll is defending well but Koltun drives through and ends up in Corll's guard. Corll escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Koltun gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Corll working for a triangle but Koltun defends it easily.
Koltun postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Corll is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Koltun, into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Koltun is working an open guard so Corll takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Dean Corll seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Corll fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Corll lands with an uppercut that bounces Koltun off the cage and back into range. Koltun closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Koltun missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Koltun is looking for a kimura but Corll is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Koltun to get the leverage. Corll actively working from the bottom here. Corll slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dean Corll will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Marek Koltun's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Corll uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Koltun has time to react. Corll ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Corll dips to his left and cracks Koltun with an uppercut! Koltun shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Horrible takedown attempt by Koltun or perhaps it was just good defense by Corll, which made it look bad. Corll is looking for a counter combo. Koltun moves out of range as Corll strikes. Koltun with the counter takedown but Corll avoids it easily. Corll lands a leg kick that knocks Koltun off balance momentarily. Koltun doesn't succeed with the takedown and Koltun takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Dean Corll has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marek Koltun. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Koltun with that takedown attempt. Corll misses with the combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corll connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Corll is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Koltun can do to turn this around? Koltun staying out of range there. Koltun tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Corll defends well and Koltun ends up having to push Corll into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Corll keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Koltun is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Koltun displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Corll throws out the jab. Koltun tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Corll defends well and Koltun ends up having to push Corll into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Koltun walks forward, straight into a front kick from Corll. Koltun shoots in but no luck this time. Corll jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Koltun fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Koltun is breathing heavily. Corll cracks Koltun with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Koltun looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Corll finish him?
Koltun is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Koltun walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Corll! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dean Corll! During a confident post fight interview, Dean Corll thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. In defeat, Marek Koltun stepped up to the mic, saying 'My opponent was the better man tonight, but I will be back.'.
