Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Whitaker (ranked 6998 p4p, 518 weight class) and Artur Azaryan (ranked 2509 p4p, 0 weight class). Whitaker comes to the cage accompanied by Take the 'A' Train by The Delta Rhythm Boys. Azaryan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Notorious BIG - Mo Money Mo Problems. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitaker misses with a double jab.

Azaryan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Whitaker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Whitaker jabs Azaryan to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Azaryan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Azaryan drops an elbow to the side of Whitaker 's head.

Azaryan is nestled in close to Whitaker , controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Azaryan is pressing down on Whitaker 's thigh, looking to free his foot. Whitaker is holding on for now.
Azaryan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Whitaker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Azaryan lands a brutal head kick. Whitaker looks out on his feet and Azaryan throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
