Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Citrus Surtic (ranked 3445 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus HIll (ranked 23298 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Citrus Surtic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marcus HIll! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! HIll throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Surtic. Surtic jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Nice body kick from Surtic. HIll takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
HIll pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Surtic throws a quick inside leg kick. HIll throws out a leg kick but Surtic moves out of range and HIll only half commits. Surtic scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Surtic lands with an uppercut that bounces HIll off the cage and back into range. HIll closes the distance and pushes Surtic back into the cage. HIll breaks the clinch.
HIll misses with a hook. No joy there for HIll, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! HIll closes the distance and clinches. Surtic fails to pull guard.

Surtic has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Surtic is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables HIll to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Citrus Surtic. That's going to take a lot out of him. HIll lands a body shot. HIll lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if HIll is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Surtic actively working from the bottom here. HIll trying to control the pace. HIll is thwarting Surtic's attempts to control the position. Surtic slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Surtic is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. HIll is aware though and is defending well. HIll lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Surtic is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and HIll defends well. HIll sitting in guard here, content to control. HIll lands a couple of elbows. HIll stands up from guard. Let's bang! HIll fails to land with a series of punches.

HIll ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Surtic moves away. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice body punch from Surtic. HIll falls off balance throwing a combination
and Surtic counters with a body kick. HIll throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Surtic misses. HIll looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Surtic actively working from the bottom here. HIll wants to get back to his feet.
Surtic has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. HIll is working away from the top position though. Surtic has hold of HIll's hands but HIll slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Surtic works his way to full guard. Good work. HIll really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Surtic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Surtic working for a triangle but HIll defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. HIll has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Surtic. Surtic lands a leg kick that knocks HIll off balance momentarily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Surtic turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Surtic lands a right hook to the body.
Surtic fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Marcus HIll seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. HIll rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Surtic moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A cross from Surtic lands. Citrus Surtic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. HIll lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A jab from HIll misses. Surtic lands with a right hand. HIll misses with a combination
enabling Surtic to counter with a crisp jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Citrus Surtic will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
HIll moves into the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as HIll takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Come on HIll - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

HIll doesn't succeed with the takedown and Surtic counters with a nice body shot. Citrus Surtic is winning the standup battle so far. Surtic moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Crunch! Surtic slams his shin into HIll's torso. A jab from Surtic does it's job there. HIll ducks right into an uppercut from Surtic. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Surtic scores with a kick to the midsection. Surtic scores with a body shot.
HIll closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Surtic tries to pull guard but HIll holds him up against the cage and eventually Surtic drops back down to his feet.

Surtic is trying to break the clinch but HIll is controlling him. HIll breaks the clinch.
HIll looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Surtic checks a leg kick. Surtic lands with a thumping leg kick.
HIll gets a clinch. Surtic manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Surtic is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! HIll has his hands clasped together but Surtic extends and breaks HIll's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Surtic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Citrus Surtic! In his post fight interview, Citrus Surtic started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
