Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lacy Eaton (ranked 24547 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Edwards (ranked 5588 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Edwards will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lacy Eaton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Edwards! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eaton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Eaton gets tackled into the cage by Edwards. Edwards maintains the clinch. Eaton tries to break the clinch but Edwards is controlling the position. Edwards pushes Eaton back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Edwards slowing the pace effectively. Edwards tries to pull guard but Eaton won't allow it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Edwards stalling the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eaton looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Edwards's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Edwards shoots in looking for a takedown. Eaton tries to sprawl out of it but Edwards keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Eaton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Eaton stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Eaton wants it to stay on the feet.

As Edwards tries to get set, Eaton tries to push him back and clinch up but Edwards manages to avoid the attempt. Edwards has Eaton up against the cage in a clinch.
Edwards lands with a light punch inside. Edwards is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Eaton is defending well for now. Edwards tries for a takedown. No joy.

Edwards tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Eaton swivels and escapes. Eaton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Eaton tries to break the clinch but Edwards is controlling the position. Eaton has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Edwards creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Eaton's defenses. Edwards prevents Eaton from breaking the clinch. Eaton breaks the clinch.
Edwards darts in looking for a takedown but Eaton gets double underhooks and turns Edwards into the cage. Eaton tries to counter by clinching up but Edwards breaks away and moves out of range. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Eaton closes the distance and clinches. The referee calls for Edwards to work.

Mark Edwards dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Edwards keeps control of Eaton as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Edwards breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Eaton stuffs the takedown attempt from Edwards. Eaton looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Eaton lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Edwards on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eaton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Edwards with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Eaton landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Edwards controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Edwards wants to improve his position but Eaton is controlling well.

Eaton throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Edwards to regain full guard. Eaton is looking to work some ground and pound but Edwards has wrist control. Eaton cracks Edwards with a solid left hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Eaton keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Edwards's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Eaton's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Eaton lands a couple of decent looking shots. Eaton keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Edwards's head. Eaton working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Eaton connects with a couple of short punches. Eaton chips away with some ground and pound. Edwards working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Eaton. Edwards has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Eaton has passed into side control.

Mark Edwards seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Eaton goes for a double leg but Edwards avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Edwards continues to drive forward. Edwards wants to counter the offense by Eaton and move into the clinch position. Edwards shoots in but no luck this time. Edwards misses with an uppercut. Eaton saw that one coming. Edwards takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Eaton fails with the takedown. A shot to the body from Edwards misses and Eaton holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Eaton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Edwards.

Edwards wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Eaton manages to pass to side control. Eaton lands with a punch from half guard. Edwards taking some punishment here, with Eaton in his half guard. Eaton is working for a kimura but Edwards is defending it quite comfortably.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Edwards is looking to improve his position.

Eaton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nice strikes from Eaton there. Edwards is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Eaton pulls his head out easily. Eaton is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Edwards can do to turn this around? It looks like Eaton is going to stand back up.
