Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Sirck (ranked 5511 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Wazinsky (ranked 7124 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rick Sirck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Wazinsky!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sirck shoots in looking for a takedown but Wazinsky manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sirck's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wazinsky slaps away a takedown attempt from Sirck, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Wazinsky has taken the fight to the clinch.

Wazinsky gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Sirck manages to get to full guard.

Sirck working for a triangle but Wazinsky defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wazinsky controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Sirck is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wazinsky is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wazinsky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sirck swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sirck wants to sweep here but Wazinsky controlling him for the moment.
Wazinsky is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Wazinsky.
You can see the frustration on Sirck's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sirck tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Wazinsky decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Sirck tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wazinsky defends well and Sirck ends up having to push Wazinsky into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Sirck shoots in for a takedown but Wazinsky shows good takedown defense.

Wazinsky throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sirck tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wazinsky is in Sirck's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sirck dives in for a single leg takedown but Wazinsky sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Wazinsky prevents Sirck from improving his position.
Wazinsky throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Wazinsky is pressing down on Sirck's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sirck is holding on for now.
Sirck has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wazinsky is working away from the top position though.

Wazinsky is taking a breather. Sirck says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Let's hope that Wazinsky has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Sirck tries to roll over but Wazinsky keeps him under control.
Sirck has hold of Wazinsky's hands but Wazinsky slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wazinsky is thwarting Sirck's attempts to control the position.

Wazinsky is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Sirck manages to get to full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Sirck could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wazinsky misses with a hook.
Sirck seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Rick Sirck is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Wazinsky counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wazinsky.

Sirck's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Wazinsky rushes Sirck and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Wazinsky is stalling in the full guard.
Wazinsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sirck. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Wazinsky.

Sirck isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wazinsky stacks Sirck on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wazinsky!

Wazinsky is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sirck will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Sirck is covering up but some of the strikes from Wazinsky are getting through and doing damage.
Wazinsky is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Sirck. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Well Wazinsky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
