Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bente Log!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Edson Bidon Barbosa!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Log looks to throw the jab but Barbosa is out of range.
Barbosa shapes to counter with a head kick.
Log avoids the head kick by Barbosa.
Log moves out of range of the strikes.
Barbosa lands a high kick to the side of Log's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Barbosa dives into guard, looking to finish.
Log is rocked!
It looks like Bente Log has been cut.
Log looking for a sweep. Not yet Log, not yet.
Oh Log is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barbosa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Log. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Log not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Barbosa wants to stand but Log has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Log seems to have got his legs back now.
Barbosa gets to his feet. Log looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Barbosa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
It looked like Log wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Log is looking to clinch.
Log gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Barbosa counters with a head kick.
Log shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Barbosa but Barbosa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Edson Bidon Barbosa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Log will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Barbosa, as that shot connected.
Log gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Edson Bidon Barbosa!
