1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Shocker! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shocker misses with a few strikes there.
Shocker takes a swing at Perez 's ribcage but misses. Perez appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Shocker pushes Perez up against the cage in a clinch. Perez looking for a takedown. Perez fails to pull guard.
Shocker manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters circling a little - Shocker finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Perez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shocker is fending him off so far but Perez persists. Nope, Shocker circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Guillo Perez . That's going to take a lot out of him. Shocker throws a combination that misses and Perez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Shocker's guard. Shocker wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Perez manages to pass to side control. Perez lands strikes from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice strikes from Perez there. Perez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Perez is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Shocker is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Guillo Perez seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. The defeated Alex Shocker had this to say: 'MY opponent did a good job, but It was just luck. I will be back, I'm going to be better and Everyone should be scared.'.
