Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rooben Nevez (ranked 3097 p4p, 257 weight class) and Grumpy Bastard (ranked 4016 p4p, 299 weight class). Rooben Nevez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Grumpy Bastard's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastard takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nevez.
Nevez scores with a kick to the midsection.
Nevez lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bastard's sensitive parts.
A nice leg kick lands there from Nevez.
Nevez cracks the inside of Bastard's front leg.
Nevez looks for the body kick but Bastard saw that one coming.

and Bastard decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nevez's guard.

Bastard is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Oh Nevez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Nevez has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Bastard is working Nevez over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bastard postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Nevez covers up, he's hurt! Bastard keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Bastard and the ref steps in to end the fight! Bastard can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
