Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Randleman (ranked 518 p4p, 59 weight class) and Karl Karlsson (ranked 988 p4p, 102 weight class). Karlsson has chosen 300 Violin Orchestra as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Karl Karlsson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quinton Randleman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Karlsson! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karlsson misses with a right hand letting Randleman counter with a right hand. Randleman throws a right hand that misses
and Karlsson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Randleman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Karlsson. Randleman takes the fight into the clinch. Randleman misses with a hook from the clinch. Karlsson blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Randleman is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. A head punch on the inside from Randleman fails to land. Randleman definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Randleman goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Randleman wants the takedown. Karlsson is fighting it off but Randleman persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Karlsson's guard against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Randleman works over Karlsson with some ground and pound from guard. Karlsson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Randleman is controlling him. Randleman throws a big right hand that misses.

Randleman scores with a jab to the jaw. Karl Karlsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Randleman scores with a jab to the body. Randleman throws a body shot but no joy. Randleman throws an off balance right hand
and Karlsson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Karlsson misses with a hook
and Karlsson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A slow jab from Karlsson misses its intended target. Randleman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Karlsson but Karlsson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Karlsson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Randleman has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Randleman and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Randleman throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Karlsson moves out of range of the strikes. Randleman clinches with his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Randleman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Karlsson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Randleman's elbow. Karlsson stalling against the cage.
Randleman tries to score a body lock takedown but Karlsson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinton Randleman. That's going to take a lot out of him. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Karlsson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Randleman tries to work over Karlsson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Randleman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Karlsson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Randleman misses with a punch on the inside.

Randleman has Karlsson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Randleman pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Karlsson tumbling to the mat - Randleman dives into Karlsson's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Randleman with a flurry of punches that miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Quinton Randleman will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Quinton Randleman's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Randleman throws a body punch but Karlsson moves out of range. Karlsson stuffs the takedown. Randleman needs to keep his hands up - Karlsson had a free shot at his head there. Jab by Karlsson. Karlsson lands a big head kick that sends Randleman tumbling to the mat! Karlsson takes a step backwards and waves Randleman back to his feet - he wants the finish! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Randleman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Randleman showed some decent athleticism there. Randleman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Karlsson's head. Randleman not landing any meaningful shots this time. Randleman thows a huge punch but Karlsson dodges it nicely.
Randleman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Randleman stays in close to Karlsson's body and controls the position. Karlsson wants to stand and escape but Randleman is having none of it. Randleman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Randleman looking to sit in guard and control but Karlsson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Randleman looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Randleman wants to improve his position but instead Karlsson has moved into half guard.

Randleman is looking to get back to full guard here but Karlsson has managed to pass to side control instead. Randleman tries to bench press Karlsson off him but Karlsson keeps the position. Randleman tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Karlsson presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Randleman is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Randleman wants to hold on but Karlsson pushes him away. Randleman is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Karlsson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Randleman is in all sorts of trouble here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Karlsson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Randleman circles away quickly and effectively. Randleman with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Karlsson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Randleman is out of range. Randleman fails to land with a series of punches.

Karlsson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Randleman digs a right hand into Karlsson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Karlsson's gas tank.

A glancing blow. Randleman misses with a takedown enabling Karlsson to counter with a crisp jab. Randleman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Karlsson as he jumps to the side. Randleman has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Karlsson. Randleman shoots in looking for a takedown. Karlsson tries to sprawl out of it but Randleman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Karlsson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Karlsson missing with a left hand there. Randleman was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Karlsson looks to land a combination but Randleman avoids it well. Karl Karlsson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A low kick from Karlsson misses and Randleman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Karl Karlsson. I think Karlsson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Quinton Randleman spoke after the fight, saying 'Really? i dident loose. everybody knows that. the judges got paid.'.
