Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Pablo Escobar Sir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Banana Man! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man walks into a left hand. Sir connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Man is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sir manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Man on his heels. He'll look to pass Man's guard now, I'm sure. Sir avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sir drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sir jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sir has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Sir thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Sir is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? That's one minute gone in the round. Man tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sir trying to control but Man is working from the bottom. Sir is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Man is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Sir is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Man is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Man has escaped and now he's on top! Man trying to control but Sir is working from the bottom. Sir is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Man is aware though and is defending well. Sir working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Man doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Man manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Man slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Sir had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Man defends it easily. Sir has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Man should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sir has tightened it up now! Man should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
