Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor OShea!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OShea keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from King.
Nice sprawl there from King as OShea shoots in.

OShea darts in and clinches King up against the cage.
King lands with a short head shot on the inside.
OShea with an attempt at a knee that misses.
OShea looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

King pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
OShea tries to clinch up.
OShea is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
OShea fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
King jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

OShea has closed the distance and engaged King in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A short body shot lands from King as the two fighters clinch.
OShea throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but King blocks it with crossed arms.

OShea tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. King manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

OShea uses good head movement to avoid the hook from King.

OShea shoots in and drives through. King sprawls well.
Lamont King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conor OShea.
King leaves OShea with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
It looked like King wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

King tried to land a shot to the body but connects with OShea's elbow.

OShea's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, King creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
King lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

King blocks a head kick by OShea.
OShea tries to close the distance and clinch but King swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
OShea wants to clinch but King slips to the side
letting King counter with a right hand.

King throws a jab but it's blocked by OShea.
OShea is still on wobbly legs! Can King finish him?

OShea takes the fight into the clinch.
OShea seems to have recovered his senses.
King misses with a body punch.
King lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
King digs a right hand underneath OShea's ribcage. OShea let out a lung full of air as it connected.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as King takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

We've been told by King's head coaches at Castlemore that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
King connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between OShea's hands.
King throws a jab but it's blocked by OShea.
OShea steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from King.
OShea tries to close the distance and clinch up but King swats him away and circles back towards the center.
King swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
King lands with an overhand left.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lamont King dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


King takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
OShea tries to close the distance and clinch but King swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
King lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
King swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by King! OShea is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lamont King!
Lamont King spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
