Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Better Now-Post Malone. Thiago Silva has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thiago Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bogdasha Rasputin! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva has Rasputin up against the cage in a clinch.
Rasputin manages to pull guard.

Silva wants to stand and escape but instead Rasputin has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Rasputin trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Silva is looking for a triangle but Rasputin pushes his legs off easily.
Rasputin stays in close to Silva's body and controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rasputin pushing down on Silva's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Rasputin is looking for a kimura here.
Silva is trying to control but can't.
Rasputin wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rasputin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Silva sees it coming and defends easily. Silva wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva manages to get to full guard.
Rasputin trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Rasputin stands and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control. Silva is looking to reverse the position. Silva struggling a bit here. You can see the frustration on Silva's face as Rasputin controls the position. Rasputin has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Silva is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Rasputin yanks on the arm and Silva is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Rasputin.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bogdasha Rasputin! Bogdasha Rasputin tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool. Thiago Silva was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll be back, i'm young and only going to get better...'.
