Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Wrexham (ranked 31 p4p, 3 weight class) and Argat Khan (ranked 414 p4p, 61 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyler Wrexham ! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Argat Khan! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan misses with a straight left. Khan circles away from the clinch attempt enabling Khan to counter with a crisp jab. Wrexham fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Khan manages to avoid it. Tyler Wrexham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice straight punches there by Khan. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Khan. Khan misses with a body punch
and Wrexham connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wrexham moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Khan throws a hook but Wrexham avoids it easily. Wrexham throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sloppy strikes from Wrexham . Those never looked like landing. Khan blocks a jab. Khan swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Khan clobbers Wrexham with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. and Wrexham counters with a leg kick. Wrexham has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Death Valley Training Facility in the buildup to the fight. Wrexham swings away with a body shot that misses
and Khan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Wrexham scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Wrexham scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Wrexham jabs at Khan's body. Wrexham misses the body punch and Khan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Khan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Wrexham moves out of range of the strikes. Wrexham is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Wrexham swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A nice side step and Khan releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Khan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wrexham has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Wrexham throws a nice outside leg kick. Wrexham takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Khan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Wrexham scores with a crisp jab that stopped Khan in his tracks. Wrexham closes the distance and clinches. Wrexham is leaning against Khan and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Khan is trying to push Wrexham away but Wrexham has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Khan is trying to break free. Wrexham misses with the head strike.

Wrexham tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Khan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wrexham connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wrexham misses with a hook. Wrexham slips under a jab. Khan might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Wrexham throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Khan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wrexham finds it's way round the side to connect with Khan's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wrexham lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looked like Wrexham was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Khan. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Khan tries to work over Wrexham 's front leg with a kick but Wrexham checks it. Wrexham drops Khan with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Khan looks back up at him and smiles so Wrexham waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
