Holmes comes into the arena with Motorhead blaring out of the sound system. Robbie Holmes has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Amin Dada!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dada sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dada swats away the attempt to clinch by Holmes.

Holmes shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Holmes was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Holmes cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Dada tries to buck Holmes off but he can't manage it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Holmes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Holmes seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dada for as long as he can get away with.

You get the feeling that Dada really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Holmes is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Holmes extends the arm and Dada is forced to tap!

A relieved looking Robbie Holmes thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
