Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kerr (ranked 298 p4p, 15 weight class) and Aki Hiko (ranked 1501 p4p, 79 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Kerr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aki Hiko! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hiko throws a front kick aimed at Kerr's knee but Kerr avoids it well. Kerr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hiko manages to avoid it. Hiko misses the shot to the body. Hiko looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Hiko dives in and grabs Kerr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kerr pushes down on Hiko's head and hops out. Kerr scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Aki Hiko has been cut. Hiko swings for the body but Kerr moves out of range.
Kerr throws a nice looking combination but Hiko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hiko cracks Kerr with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Hiko pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A punch combination from Hiko misses. Hiko throws a lazy right hand but Kerr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kerr lands a nice shot to the body.
Kerr instigates a clinch. Kerr tries a body shot but Hiko blocks it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kerr digs a right hand underneath Hiko's ribcage. Hiko let out a lung full of air as it connected. Hiko looks winded! Kerr lands a nice shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerr lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Kerr lands with a short shot to the head. A short left from Kerr. A body shot lands from Kerr.
Kerr pushes Hiko back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Kerr scores with a shoulder strike. A short uppercut from Kerr. Kerr scores with a nice hook to the head.
That has opened up Aki Hiko's cut even more. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kerr creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Kerr tightens his grip and picks Hiko up, before dumping him to the ground. Hiko manages to land in guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kerr wants to control from the top but Hiko keeps moving. Kerr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hiko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kerr is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kerr loads up on a big left hand. Hiko felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Kerr looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Hiko can't hide his disappointment, as Kerr celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Kerr! Mark Kerr was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
