The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lobo to score with a decent uppercut.
Lobo misses with a right hand
and Wallace makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Wallace closes the distance and clinches.
Wallace cracks Lobo with a nice body shot.
Lobo told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Wallace has clasped his hands together around Lobo's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Lobo is trying to get back to half guard.
Wallace controls the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wallace's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lobo is looking to improve his position but Wallace isn't that keen on the idea.

Wallace working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Lobo turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Wallace off and cradles Lobo's limp body as Wallace celebrates with his corner.
