Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julian Drotski (ranked 5528 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kelly Leak (ranked 7448 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Julian Drotski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
34 - 39 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kelly Leak! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leak throws a sloppy head kick and Drotski moves out of range easily. Leak misses the body punch and Drotski counters with a stiff right hand. Leak fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Drotski has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Leak throws a body shot but no joy. Leak closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Leak is nestled in close to Drotski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Leak landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Drotski looking for submissions off his back. Drotski on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Drotski trying to hold on to Leak's head to control him but Leak postures up.
Leak takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drotski trying to control here.
Drotski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Leak pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leak is stalling here. Drotski is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Leak seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Drotski has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Leak manages to get back to half guard. Drotski is trying to work for a kimura but Leak is defending well.
Leak is trying is best to control the position here. Drotski is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Leak has managed to free his arm - good work. Leak gets back to full guard.
Leak manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Drotski manages to get himself to full guard.
Leak is working Drotski over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Leak wants to control from the top but Drotski keeps moving. Leak wants to pass the guard but Drotski is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leak is in close to Drotski's body, working some short punches and elbows. Leak with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Leak postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Drotski wants to sweep but no luck. Leak throwing strikes from guard but Drotski blocks nicely. Drotski is pulling down on Leak's head. It's preventing any offense from Leak, at least for the moment. Leak trying to move into half guard but instead Drotski has managed to sweep! Leak tries to land a sweep but no joy. Leak keeping moving, preventing Drotski from controlling successfully. Leak is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Leak works his way into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leak trying to control but he's not successful this time. Leak postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Drotski looks a forlorn figure.

Leak has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Drotski takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Leak cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Drotski is rocked!
It looks like Julian Drotski has been cut. Leak has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Drotski's face.
Oh Drotski is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Oooooh, big shot lands for Leak! Drotski is hurt baaadly! Leak is firing away with more strikes - Drotski is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kelly Leak! An out of breath Kelly Leak thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
