Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andriy Voronin (ranked 818 p4p, 107 weight class) and Alexander Usikov (ranked 989 p4p, 127 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andriy Voronin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Usikov!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Usikov throws a leg kick which misses Voronin's front leg but catches the back leg as Voronin tries to avoid it.
Voronin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Usikov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Usikov has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Voronin finds it's way round the side to connect with Usikov's head.
It looks like Alexander Usikov has been cut.
Voronin blocks a head kick by Usikov.
Usikov connects with the punch.
The fighters circling - Usikov throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Usikov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Usikov misses with a hook. Voronin ducked under it nicely.
That kick from Usikov tenderised Voronin's leg. Voronin is trying to keep his angry face on.
Usikov lands with a nice combination. Voronin backs away looking to recover.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Usikov connects with a leg kick. Voronin looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Usikov throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Voronin counters with a straight right hand.
Usikov throws an off balance right hand
and Voronin counters with a left and a right... And another left! Usikov is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andriy Voronin!
A relieved looking Andriy Voronin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
