Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Balor Fino (ranked 5685 p4p, 241 weight class) and Brian Marais (ranked 5808 p4p, 246 weight class). Fino comes to the cage accompanied by Torso fuck - Raped by Elephants. Marais has chosen The Offspring - Come Out And Play as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fino scores with a nice strike.
Marais takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Marais avoids the body shot from Fino.
Fino scores with a nice right hand.
Marais is rocked!
Fino swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Marais is still on wobbly legs! Can Fino finish him?
Marais tries for a takedown but Fino sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Marais ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Marais seems to have recovered his senses.
Fino misses with a body shot.
A lazy left from Fino finds it's target.
Marais fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fino avoids it really well and circles away.
Fino throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Marais is defended easily by Fino.
Balor Fino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Marais.

Marais has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Marais there as he acknowledges the shot.
Marais walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Marais defending well as Fino loads up on a big left hand.

A telegraphed right hand from Fino misses the target.
Fino throws a looping overhand right but Marais ducks down to avoid it.
Fino looks to score with a jab to the body but Marais is just out of range.

Fino throws a jab but it's blocked by Marais.
Marais misses with a takedown attempt
and Fino cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fino gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marais prevents Fino from getting back to his feet.
Marais drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Marais jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fino keeping moving, preventing Marais from controlling successfully.
Marais working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fino is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Marais throws a big elbow that misses.

Marais thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Fino is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Marais is controlling him.
Marais pushing down on Fino's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Marais thows a huge punch but Fino dodges it nicely.
Marais looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Marais is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fino is just riding it out for now. Marais eventually gives up the hold.
Marais is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Marais is trying to work for a kimura but Fino is defending well.
Fino wants to get back to his feet.
Fino won't allow Marais to pass to mount.

Marais decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Fino is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Fino throws a body punch but Marais moves out of range.
Marais changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
A cross from Fino lands.
Marais's coach down at Death Valley Training Facility was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Marais's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Fino throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Balor Fino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marais has a takedown stuffed.
Fino is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Fino leaves Marais with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fino throws a nice looking combination but Marais bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Marais shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fino counters with a stiff right hand.

Fino connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Marais covering up! Fino comes in with a big uppercut and Marais goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Balor Fino!
A very excited looking Balor Fino made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
